Youths, under the auspices of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ogun State chapter, have urged the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, to create a Youth Ministry and subsequently appoint a commissioner to oversee its affairs. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has warned against rising tobacco industry interference, stating that urgent action is needed to maintain and accelerate progress in tobacco control as it threatens global efforts to reduce tobacco use. Retail outlets operated by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited on Monday raised the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) to N945 per litre in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The price hike was also implemented at NNPC stations in Lagos, where petrol now sells for N915 per litre. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has approved June 28 for the conduct of the 2025 UTME mop-up examination.
