Ogun SUBEB Postpones Ongoing Unified Examination

Ogun SUBEB Postpones Ongoing Unified Examination 2

The Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has notified the various Heads of Public Primary Schools in the State of the postponement of the Unified Promotion Examination in all schools, until further notice, as this is as a result of the ongoing workers’ strike action in the state.

In a statement signed by the Board Secretary, Olubori Akinleye, and titled: “NOTICE OF POSTPONEMENT OF EXAMINATION” stated that the order is coming from the Executive Chairman, Dr. Femi Majekodunmi, and the examination is hereby postponed until further notice.

The statement reads in parts; “I write on the instruction of the Executive Chairman to inform you of the postponement of the Unified Promotion Examination in all Public Primary Schools in Ogun State until further notice. This postponement is due to the ongoing Workers’ Strike Action”.

Newsjaunts.com reports further that all Directors, Education Secretaries has also been enjoined to hold on to all ongoing distribution of examination materials across the state.

“To this end, all Directors, Education Secretaries are hereby enjoined to put on hold all actions in relation to the ongoing distribution of examination materials.

“You are to also ensure adequate safety of all Sensitive and Non-Sensitive Examination Materials in thier custody to avoid any unforeseen situation and to ensure total reliability and smooth conduct of the examination”.

However, according to the Executive Chairman, strict punishment shall be taken against anyone whose conduct may lead to any unforseen situation.

“Please note that strict punitive sanctions shall be taken against any officers whose conduct or action may lead to any unforeseen situation. So please kindly ensure that you put in place necessary action to avoid any embarrassing actions.

“Please kindly acknowlege the reciept of this information and ensure strict compliance with this directives”, he added.
