Plans have been concluded for the official kick off of the 3rd SWAN Media Cup tagged SWAN/Oluwalogbon Electronics Media Cup.
The SWAN Media Cup is a 5-Aside football competition organized by Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Ogun State chapter among practicing journalists and media stations in Ogun state.
According to the Planning Committee, the Executive Chairman, Obafemi-Owode local government, Hon. Adeshina Ogunsola would perform the ceremonial kick off for the opening match between Family FM and Yinka Ayefele’s Fresh FM.
Ogunsola, a sports enthusiast will join other dignitaries for the opening ceremony billed for the Fun Turf of the MKO Abiola International Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta.
In the other fixtures, both Correspondents Chapel and Consolidated Chapel of Ogun NUJ will fight for superiority while, Ogun community newspaper publishers and under the Federated chapel will face OGTV in the third match of the day.
The defending Champion, Splash FM will face Radio Nigeria’s Paramount FM, while Press Officers of the Ogun Ministry of Information will trade tackle with Eagles FM, Ilese -Ijebu.
The last fixture of the match Day one will see Smash FM slugging it out with Roots FM.
The opening ceremony will begin at 10am.
