

Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Dr. Lanre Ogunlowo, speaking on National Standard Television (NSTV) from the Abeokuta studio on Friday, emphasized the impact of modern technology in enhancing state security. While incidents of crime continue to be reported daily, he highlighted that prompt response, inter-agency cooperation in intelligence gathering and sharing, and the adoption of technological tools are collectively driving progress toward a safer state.
He also revealed plans to launch a mobile appli aimed at fostering greater public involvement in policing efforts. Residents will be empowered to assist security agencies by reporting and sharing real-time information, further strengthening community-based crime prevention.
Commissioner Ogunlowo commended the efforts of former police administrators for laying a strong security foundation and reaffirmed the state’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property. He assured investors of a stable and secure environment, and expressed gratitude to local residents and fellow security outfits for their continued support.
