The Director General of the Nigeria Intelligence Agency, NIA, Ahmed Abubakar, has resigned. Several Churches in Rwanda have come under the axe of the government. The move by the Rwandan government has seen over 5000 Churches shut down over poor safety standards and inadequate registration formalities. Records have it that the Rwanda government has shut down 5,600 churches, including some 100 places of worship operating in caves for not complying with the country’s safety and health regulations. The churches were closed down following a two-week nationwide operation that was conducted by the Rwanda Governance Board (RGB). Another truck accident has occurred in the Papalanto inbound axis of Ewekoro area of Ogun State in the early hours of Friday, barely 24 hours after a similar incident in Lafenwa, in the state capital, which claimed four lives and injured two. A 40-year-old woman, whose identity cannot be ascertained has set herself on fire, after her husband divorced her in Guri Local Government area of Jigawa State. The new Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, will on Friday be sworn in by President Bola Tinubu, at the Council Chambers of the State House. Six people, including a pregnant woman were left dead in a devastating accident which occured in the Enugada area of Lafenwa, Abeokuta, Ogun State on Thursday. According to an eyewitness,who does not want to be named, said, a truck lost control and crashed into a vehicle, a commercial motorcycle and pedestrians working along the roadside at around 9pm. An Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, discharged and acquitted six men charged with breach of public peace during the 2020 #EndSARS protest. They are Daniel Joyinbo, 31, Adigun Sodiq, 28, Kehinde Shola,32, Salaudeen Kamilu, 29, Sodiq Usseni, 33 and Azeez Isiaka, 34. The defendants in a plea bargain agreement, pleaded guilty to a count charge of breach of public peace preferred against them by the Lagos State Government.
