Six Dead, as Truck crashes into vehicle in Ogun Road Accident

Six people, including a pregnant woman were left dead in a devastating accident which occured in the Enugada area of Lafenwa, Abeokuta, Ogun State on Thursday.

According to an eyewitness,who does not want to be named, said, a truck lost control and crashed into a vehicle, a commercial motorcycle and pedestrians working along the roadside at around 9pm.

The eyewitness, who described the scene as horrific, said, “I think the truck lost control and rammed into a vehicle and a motorcycle, including some pedestrians who were walking by the roadside.”

However, in a video obtained by our correspondent showed the lifeless and mutilated bodies of some victims, with sympathizers wailing in the background.

Speaking on the incident, spokesperson for the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, TRACE, Babatunde Akinbiyi, confirmed the incident in a telephone conversation, stating, “There is a fatal road traffic accident at Enugada Lafenwa. The rescue operation is ongoing.”

Rescue efforts are currently underway, and further details will be provided as more information becomes available.
