The former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole, on Friday, lost his mother, Alhaja Monsurat Bankole, to the cold hands of death at the age of 78.
This is coming few days after the demise of another prominent socialist, Princess Adebisi Edionseri, popularly called ‘Cash Madam’
Reports gathered revealed that Alhaja Bankole died in the earlier hours of Friday after brief illness.
Details of her death is still unknown as at the time of filing this report, but a close ally to Dimeji Bankole and a journalist with Ogun State Television (OGTV), Hakeem Akintunde, dropped the hint on his Facebook page.
The Consultant to the Ogun State governor on Islamic Affairs, Sheikh Ikleel Lawal popularly called ‘Sugar’ also confirmed the death of Alhaja Bankole.
Sheikh Lawal further confirmed that the late Iya Adini of Egbaland would be buried immediately after Solatul Asr, by 4pm at her husband’s house in Oluwo, Abeokuta.
