

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Ogun State Command, has honoured the leadership of Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation (ADWF) for its outstanding contribution towards drug abuse prevention.
Global President of the foundation, Asiwaju Dapo Wahab on Wednesday, during a courtesy visit to the State Command of the NDLEA, reiterated that the purpose of the visit is to strengthen collaborative partnerships in the ongoing fight against drug abuse and illicit trafficking.
While also adding, that the purpose of the visit is to deepen mutual efforts towards creating a drug-free society.
The State Commander of NDLEA, Commander Tijjani Rabe, ACIPM, during the visit on behalf of the agency presented an Award of Appreciation to the Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation.


“The honour recognized the foundation’s unwavering commitment, strategic interventions, and continued support in combating drug abuse and illicit drug trafficking in Ogun State and beyond”, He said.

In his acceptance speech, Asiwaju Dapo Wahab, expressed his profound gratitude to the NDLEA Ogun Command for the honour and longstanding collaboration, also he mentioned key points included between his foundation and the agency.
“The partnership between the foundation and NDLEA has been sustainable, impactful, and inspirational.
“Their shared mission has always been rooted in building a drug-free Ogun State and promoting a safer, healthier Nigeria”, He added.
Meanwhile, Asiwaju Wahab, also extended warm greetings from the foundation’s to the Royal Grand Patron, His Royal Majesty, Oba Ahmed Adekunle Makama Oyelude CON (Tegbosun III), Olowu of Owu Kuta, acknowledging his consistent royal backing and support for anti-drug initiatives.
In his own remarks, the State Commander, Commander Rabe, praised the Foundation’s exceptional work, while noting; His first official assignment as Commander in Ogun State was with the Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation, a gesture he described as historic and symbolic.
He, also added that the NDLEA Ogun Command has followed the foundation’s efforts and recognises it as a trusted partner of integrity and vision.
According to Commander Rabe, agencies such as the NDLEA cannot fight the war against drugs alone, and only through partnerships with credible civil society organizations like Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation can lasting impact be achieved.
While also affirming the NDLEA Ogun State Command’s continued support for the foundation’s programmes, especially its grassroots mobilization and youth-focused prevention efforts. He extended sincere appreciation to Oba Ahmed Adekunle Makama Oyelude (CON) for his consistent moral and institutional support to NDLEA through the foundation.
He, commended the presence and active involvement of youth members of the foundation, stressing the importance of youth-led advocacy in drug prevention campaigns.
The event was also graced by high-ranking officers of NDLEA, among whom are; Commander Tijjani Rabe, State Commander NDLEA Ogun State Command, Deputy Commander of Narcotics Ekwu Eucharia, Deputy Commander of Narcotics Durojaye Taoreed.
Also present were; Assistant Commander of Narcotics Babatunde Joshua, Superintendent of Narcotics Manga Dunya and Assistant Superintendent of Narcotics Haris A Musa.
